The Show

The Senior Focus is a television program broadcast live every Wednesday at 2:00 pm on Charter TV 3. Topics covered during our broadcasts include Estate and Medicaid Planning, Long-Term Care Planning, Guardianship and Conservatorship, Medicare and Medicaid Advocacy, Planning for People with Disabilities, Estate Administration, Veterans Benefits, our Good Health for Seniors Series and more.

We are committed to serving the needs of the senior population and focus on the needs of seniors and disabled individuals, their caregivers, and their families. All too often, Americans from all socio-economic backgrounds find themselves in the situation where a loved one is no longer able to care for themselves – personally or financially. The Senior Focus is a tremendous resource that provides information about maintaining quality of life as you age, staying at home in the face of medical adversity, learning what to do when a medical crisis makes a loved one incapable of directing his or her own personal or financial affairs, probating the estate of a loved one, and many other topics.

America is getting older. The Baby Boomer generation has begun reaching the age of retirement and their numbers have helped generate the so called “Silver Tsunami” we face today. The U.S. Social Security Department estimates that more than 10,000 people a day are turning 65 years of age. What it means to be a “senior” today encompasses all facets of life. Aging seniors are not all the same. Some will retire and others will keep working. Hobbies, such as cooking, golfing or reading, will vary amongst them. Some will be interested in political affairs and current events, others will not. Elder Law issues, health issues, retirement and personal needs planning should hold the attention of everyone.

The Senior Focus helps educate and inform senior citizens so they can stay in their homes and live independent and dignified lives for as long as possible. Our mission is to educate and inform our senior citizens so they can maintain their quality of life as they age.
